Goals and Objectives

Education and awareness

The IAC will provide direct marketing, promotion, and education in connection with the use of trusted timestamps and other Information Assurance concepts, technologies, and architectures through the following objectives:

  • Develop and/or encourage standards, policies, and sound business practices

  • Dispel the myths for reliance on common timestamps and plain digital signatures
  • Provide timely position statements on relevant information assurance current events
  • Build consumer awareness via conferences, speaking opportunities and white papers


Customer Service

The IAC will help our members serve their customer better through the following objectives

  • Provide information assurance training and in so doing facilitate a common body of knowledge
  • Provide and distribute relevant materials and white papers
  • Maintain and manage and Information Assurance Consortium program of work
  • Provide current market information and arbitrage services


Research and Development

The IAC will facilitate the use of information assurance technology and services through the following objectives

  • Facilitate industry and government sponsored research papers and surveys
  • Facilitate information assurance certification and accreditation programs
  • Facilite development of Information Assurance media programs
  • Facilitate development of Information Assurance and interoperability testing and evaluation


Management

The IAC will maintain effective and efficient management control and coordination of the organization through the following objectives

  • Coordinate activities with industry, government, legal and standards organizations
  • Establish and maintain internal business controls
  • Establish and maintain internal management structure
  • Recruit and retain members to sustain the liveliness of the organization
